To my neighbors in District 43,
For over 40 years, Grand Forks has been more than just the place where Lisa and I chose to live—it is the community that shaped us. From my days as a student at UND to three decades as a local business leader and employer, I have always believed that our district deserves leadership that is as hardworking and common-sense as the people who live here.
Four years ago, I asked for your trust to represent our values in Bismarck. Since then, I have treated every vote and every committee meeting with the same seriousness I applied to running a business: focusing on efficiency, accountability, and real-world results.
Delivering on Our Promises
In my first term, we didn’t just talk about the challenges facing North Dakota; we took action. Working together, we achieved:
Historic Property Tax Relief: Securing up to $1,600 in credits for primary homeowners to keep more of your hard-earned money in your pocket.
A Stronger Workforce: As Chairman of the Industry and Business Committee, I’ve fought to cut the red tape that holds back our local innovators and small businesses.
Patient-First Healthcare: Leading the charge on reforms that ensure medical decisions stay between you and your doctor—not an insurance algorithm.
The Path Ahead
While we have made great strides, our work isn’t finished. Grand Forks is the heart of North Dakota’s innovation, from the halls of UND to our growing tech and drone sectors. As your Senator, I will continue to champion policies that bolster our schools, protect our seniors, and ensure our economy remains the strongest in the region.
